If you join and aren't automatically in the, then the channel you wish to join is #TheDeadSociety. To join type "/join #thedeadsociety" without quotes. The leading / (forward slash) is required as it proceeds all commands.
The chat is based in IRC, if you don't know what that is and would like more information you can read the Wiki or the RFC specification.
If the above chat doesn't connect or is too slow, you can try other servers in the irc network (clicking link changes the server the web client connects to, picking a server closer to you may improve your connection rate):
